Murphy’s Law was formerly located across the street, where Qdoba is presently located, from 1986 until 1992. Marquette purchased the building and relocated Murphy’s Law to where “The Gym Bar” was located before the move to 16th street. In 1996 Murphy’s Law was renamed to Murphy’s Irish Pub where it exists today. Known for its 21st B-day Club, the famous “Karaoke Wed.” and the Mug Club, Murphy’s has served Millions of happy students and Alumni for many years.

Today, Murphy’s is “the” party bar on Marquette University’s campus, providing MU students with daily specials and the best deals on campus. Murphys is the late-night spot for all Marquette students; whether the night starts at a house party or downtown, stopping at Murphs is always a must before heading home for the night. In addition, Murphys host up and coming student DJs and is the home for students and alumni after all MU mens home basketball games. Recent traditions also include Senior Week celebrations and St. Practice Day….The best unofficial St. Patricks Day party in Milwaukee.

On their 21st birthday, students complete at Marquette University right of passage by coming in for a celebratory shot and to receive their “I turned 21 at Murphys Irish Pub” T-shirt. After receiving their bday shirt, students can be seen wearing them proudly across campus and even across the country as alumni after graduating.
